Heather Anna Cantua

Heather Cantua has spent her career helping companies build financial products that didn't exist before. She started as a litigator, defending financial institutions against class actions alleging regulatory violations.

In 2015, she took an opportunity to shape new products being built as product counsel at LendingClub, building the bank partnership origination model, supporting partnerships, and managing litigation.

In 2017, Heather joined Unison as Associate General Counsel — one of the first home equity investment companies. There, she helped build the legal infrastructure for a product category from the inside, advising on licensing and regulatory strategy, the customer journey and dispute resolution.

In 2020, she left to become a founding Partner at Scale LLP, where she has helped build operations and community, while maintaining a practice helping builders launch new fintech products.

In 2026, Heather launched her solo practice, focusing on her clients in the home equity investment industry, consumer and commercial lenders, and fintech platforms.
